WEEK 9 | TEXT MASHUP

The dowdy image that supporters feared would stymie her progress to the top as the eagle was killed by the arrow winged with his own feather, so the hand of the world is wounded by its own skill. It wasn't enough for Miranda Kerr to rule the runway at David Jones to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is the chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble. She established herself in the party, rising through the ranks until getting down to what she does best - posing up a photogenic storm. To rely on charisma to win over voters, She turned to directing the snappers in the media pit to see and have no vision.

She is a pragmatic politician who inspires confidence. It's wonderful to climb and to steer Germany through some difficult times. atmosphere was electric as the launch got under way, but they underestimated her. Faith is the strength, Many would break apart, but Mrs Merkel managed to hold together Australia's most successful designers

EXP2 SUBMISSION | 5 IMAGES

Overview of design for Kuepper and Darwin. Darwin's lab is in the foreground. Landform ramp on the LHS connects meeting space to the water, a wharf for both scientists to arrive. The flat horizontal formation of Darwin's space contrasts with the vertical cluster of Kuepper's space.

Kupper's lab design. The concept behind this was the idea of solar technology reaching for the sun, somewhat like a lifting mechanism, in the attempt to maximise absorption of solar energy. The hollowed out prisms are ramps to the roofs, allowing her to plant solar cells for her research.

Darwin's lab. It sits right on the water, allowing Darwin to become close to the surrounding environment and marine life. The idea to its flat formation was to integrate with the flat plane of the ocean and become one with its environment. The horizontal roofs spans across the lab, providing a podium for helicopter transport.

The meeting spaces as the centre of the complex. The powerful lights illustrates the 'aggregation' of minds and the power of teamwork in science. The streaming lights are reflective of the gathering of ideas, coming together to bring enlightenment to mankind.

This image symbolises the scientists adventure into the unknown. For Kuepper, its is the pursuit of cleaner and efficient solar energy while Darwin probes deep into the evolution of organisms.

WEEK 8 | PROGRESS ON EXP 2 - LIGHTING

Applying lighting to the rest of the model - using colour to distinguish between the 2 labs and the meeting place.
Kupper's lab features a mostly blue lighting scheme. reflective of the colour of the sky and solar panels, of which she base her research on. The texture used imitate the circuit boards of electronics

Darwin's lab uses green as the main colour, highlighting his work based on nature, while the texture convey a more organic form to Kueppers

Messed around with the time and lighting settings. Nuclear explosion sunset =O

General problems - lights seem to disappear when zoomed out a bit or the light next to it is brighter.

WEEK 8 | PROGRESS ON EXP 2 - LANDFORM

Landform ramp to the meeting space. A creek separates Darwin's lab to Kuepper's, while the meeting space hangs precariously on the ledge. Light streams across the ramp as a path and welcomes the scientists

WEEK 8 | PROGRESS ON EXP 2 - MEETING PLACE

implementation of blue and red lights between the walls of the meeting place, like with the rectangular box experiment last week.
However, there was a big problem - my laptop was simply not powerful enough. The streams of blue and red lights flickers, especially where the blue and red streaks intercept. Had to put it to "high specs" for the effect i wanted (or its just a big blob of light), but then, the FPS drops down to really low, and even close to 0 when trying to move the point of view.

Decided to drop the coloured lighting and go with plain lights, (much less intensive on the hardware). Produced the effect i wanted but minus the colours.

WEEK 8 | REDUCED MODEL

Many thanks to shaowen for helping me reduce the prism without steering away from my original concept

WEEK 8 | DRAFT FOR EXP2

Planned model for exp2. However, due to exceeding the limit of 9 prism for each lab (since negative spaces count), went back to Sketchup to delete 1/2 of it. =(
